“Sri Lanka was absolutely amazing … I actually rode one of the Sri Lanka routes today on ROUVY. It’s such a cool experience to ride a route you’ve done in real life and then come back and do it virtually.”

Capturing Sri Lanka’s essence wasn’t without its challenges. Juliet travelled with a small crew – just her and two ROUVY content producers – filming two cycling routes per day in often extreme heat.

“I didn’t want to skip riding any of the actual full routes that were going to be uploaded … We’d start early, finish late and stay in homestays. It was nice to feel like we were seeing the real Sri Lanka, not just skimming the surface as tourists.”
