ROUVY is the leading indoor cycling app for a realistic and immersive riding experience. It helps cyclists to train, explore new locations, and stay motivated all year round with over 1500 high quality video routes around the world to choose from.
Combining sport and technology, our goal is to build the most authentic indoor cycling app that replicates the outdoor riding experience for cyclists and brings it indoors. Our mission to create an accurate cycling experience has made it popular among both hobby riders and professional cyclists and led to partnerships with global cycling brands like Lidl-Trek, La Vuelta and Strava.
ROUVY is the brainchild of two brothers, Petr and Jiri Samek, from the town of Vimperk in the South Bohemian region of Czechia. They had been developing the concept of combining an indoor trainer with video footage for several years before ROUVY was launched in 2017. Today the company is based in Prague, Czechia and employs over 100 people. ROUVY was recognized as one of the 50 fastest-growing tech companies in Central Europe by Deloitte Technology Fast 50 CE 2023.

It is co-financed by the European Union. The project aims to develop non-trivial automated software methods for generating a reference 3D model from 2D video tracks of the existing Rouvy application, and to apply these models for rendering static and dynamic 3D objects into these videos (Post Augmented Reality).
