If 2024 was the year of establishing strong foundations, then 2025 was the year ROUVY surged. This was the year our community, product, partners, and team came together to shape the strongest version of ROUVY yet. With new tools, new routes, new partnerships, and memorable events across the globe, we continued building a more connected, more immersive, and more realistic indoor cycling world. And most importantly, we did it together - with you.
Here we look back at some of the highlights of the year with quotes from the people that helped make them happen, while looking forward to the future of ROUVY and our community.
2025 - Another cycle of the earth round the sun
What a year that was! Our CEO Petr Samek sums up 365 days of ROUVY:
“2025 was another spectacular year for ROUVY. I am so proud that we have listened and built this platform together with our community. We’ve added amazing new routes and our users have created thousands of km via the ROUVY Route Creator. The community has grown even larger - especially in America and Germany. With almost 300k active users now we are getting BIG! So thank you! That’s the best feedback for us and confirmation that we are on the right track. The partnership with IRONMAN has been another important step this year and positioned ROUVY as the go-to platform for triathletes. Finishing the 70.3 IRONMAN in Nice was a personal landmark for me and the kickoff for my new annual sport routine besides mountain biking and road cycling :-) Next year we will continue to deliver a premium riding experience, look forward to incredible new routes on the platform and we will have a special focus on building the social aspects of ROUVY and supporting all-year training. Thank you for supporting us and KEEP GOING!”

The ROUVY Route Creator - building with the Community
In 2025, creativity wasn’t just encouraged - it was unleashed. After months of testing and tweaking, the ROUVY Route Creator officially launched to the entire community, empowering riders everywhere to turn their outdoor adventures into indoor experiences and bridge the gap between the real and digital world for cyclists.
The result? You created over 4,000 new routes, with everything from local hometown climbs to bucket-list favourites. For the first time, the world truly became rideable from anywhere.

New partnerships, new friends
January saw the big announcement of the new partnership with IRONMAN - raising the bar to this benchmark of endurance sport. Over the year we added 70+ IRONMAN courses, allowing triathletes a unique chance to train for their upcoming events on the actual route they will ride. Our team also attended many events themselves to strengthen relationships and talk to triathletes about their needs, with the feedback used to develop the app.
We also began a new partnership with Time Life Gravel Events in the US to bring the grit and excitement of real gravel courses like Sea Otter, Big Sugar and Unbound to the platform and to a whole new audience.
As well as this, we began a new partnership with Challenge Roth (on top of the ongoing Challenge Family collaboration) and continued our dynamic partnerships with pro teams Visma | Lease a Bike and Lidl-Trek to bring the world of pro racing closer to the community and inspire everyone to reach new levels.
More IRONMAN and Challenge Family courses will be added in 2026 and with the v4.4 app release, we added the official GPX collections for all the current IRONMAN and Challenge Family courses.

Uniting Indoor Cycling: ROUVY + FulGaz + BKOOL
This was also the year indoor cycling became more unified than ever. With the acquisition of FulGaz and** BKOOL**, three major indoor cycling worlds became one extended ecosystem - sharing their experience, passion and knowledge. In terms of growth, the number of activities on ROUVY rose by 152% compared to last year, the number of workouts increased by 182% and the total distance travelled went up by 150%.
Growth Director Erik Hegely reflected on this:
“2025 was the year we united ROUVY, FulGaz and BKOOL under one shared indoor cycling reality. With a 300k+ strong community, we set the financial foundations to keep improving the platform and delivering an experience that matches the monthly and annual prices our riders trust us with. Loyalty matters to us and we don’t take it lightly which is why we doubled down on our flexible pricing offering. ROUVY is not a game or hype, it’s a sustainable global subscription business built from the heart of Europe and it’s here to stay. I can’t wait for what we’re bringing in 2026.”
- Erik Hegely - Growth Director
Expanding our event universe
November saw a new tradition take shape: ROUVY Rendezvous, with our first major meetup landing in London - bringing together riders, triathletes, partners, and the team for a fun night of chit-chat, sweat and flowing drinks. Across the pond in the US, we started ROUVY Roll Outs to enable communities to get together face-to-face for some proper bike talk. The theme of social interaction is going to be a key one for us in 2026.

2025 was packed with a full programme of races, group rides, and challenges that managed to connect outdoor rides and pro-cycling to indoor cycling in new and innovative ways. This year, we expanded our ROUVY Ambassador roster with new faces like Sam Long, Patrick Lange and Andrew Feather led some epic rides. And of course, we set a new all-time participation record with our Group Ride featuring Wout van Aert - an event that electrified the entire platform.
As Zuzana shared:
“What a year! A major highlight was seeing a long-envisioned dream come true for many cycling fans - riding together with Wout van Aert. With nearly 6,500 participants, it became one of ROUVY’s biggest events ever. I’m also proud of how much our ambassador team has grown, now featuring top triathletes and pro cyclists like three-time IRONMAN World Champion Patrick Lange and T100 World Champion Marten Van Riel, with more female athletes joining soon. My favourite part has been supporting incredible personal journeys, like Amy Hudson completing every Tour de France stage for a good cause. I love building a team that inspires cyclists worldwide.”

Innovation that pushes ROUVY forward
On the product side, 2025 built on last year’s massive UI overhaul. We reached new levels of stability, connectivity, and training intelligence, supported by fresh partnerships and strengthened technology. Product Director Marek summed up the progress:
“This year we truly outdid ourselves. A major highlight was launching our new Workout and Ride Training screens. After many years, ROUVY modernized its UI while staying true to our core value of showcasing the world’s most beautiful real-world scenery. This update also unified the look of workouts and rides, marking a big milestone in our visual experience. We also introduced long-term challenges like Explore the World and Explore Mallorca, where new routes unlock each week. This puts cyclists on a shared, connected journey and encourages exploration for everyone by reducing reality levels. We strengthened mass-rider event stability, with BIG ROUVY RACES and pro group rides hosting thousands smoothly. And we revived development of the Companion App, building it into a smart, year-round training partner for every cyclist. Our mission is to help you enjoy the outdoors better, and we want to be with riders every step of the way.”
- Marek Martin Matyska - Product Director
Riding the world
Our Content team continued its mission of turning the globe into rideable reality. From the high mountains of Europe to iconic bike courses to remote corners few riders will ever visit in person, 2025 pushed boundaries once again.
As Antonin said:
“Our Content team, together with our ambassadors, have travelled the world to capture new routes and experiences, connecting outdoor and indoor cycling like never before. We were super-busy this year releasing new IRONMAN bike courses on top of our regular routes but I’m delighted that we can now offer triathletes an exclusive opportunity to train ahead of events on the actual course. The routes of the Great World Adventure were one of the highlights of the year for me. We really wanted to provide a unique and memorable experience for cyclists to take them to some obscure corners of the world and with Death Road in Bolivia and the vast landscapes of Tajikistan in particular, I think we delivered. And in terms of events, I am most proud that we created the regular BIG ROUVY RACES and group rides with pro riders, such as Wout Van Aert, in which thousands of riders participate regularly.”
- Antonin Parma - Content & Experience Director
Sharing the love
Our team’s passion shines both inside the office and out on the race course. Inspired by a company initiative to help the team pursue their own sporting goals, 2025 brought some unforgettable personal achievements and was none more inspiring than our strong ROUVY presence at IRONMAN 70.3 Nice, where 12 ROUVY teammates competed side by side - and all of them finished.

Lucie captured that spirit perfectly:
“Completing my first IRONMAN was my highlight. We do a lot of great things together in the office but meeting up at a sporting event like Ironman 70.3 Nice is just as good. Thanks to my other 11 colleagues who participated in the race with me as well as to those who were there to cheer for us. It was an unforgettable experience that shows that we're all very passionate about what we're doing - not only at work but also in our personal life.”
- Lucie Kubinova - PR and Communication
A New Voice for ROUVY: Training Is Not a Game
This year also marked a shift in how we talk about training - thanks to our bold new campaign, Training is not a Game, developed with the Owen Jones Agency in the USA.
