The key events that defined 2024
Partnering with the pros
ROUVY began a new partnership with Lidl-Trek at the beginning of the year, and ended the year with a new collaboration with Visma | Lease a Bike. These partnerships are part of our strategy to help bring the inspiring world of pro cycling closer to all cyclists and give the ROUVY community exclusive insights into how the pros train and ride, as well as giving them the chance to ride alongside them virtually. We're excited!

App improvements
A lot of work went into the app itself, the heart and engine of the ROUVY experience, to make your rides more realistic and rewarding. We literally couldn't decide on one standout improvement but among the many were: Revamped Rider's Portal showing activity details, training calendar and search for routes, workouts, events and more.

Flexible pricing and pausing
During the second half of the year we gave our subscription system a complete overhaul - introducing different payment plans that offered some big discounts. We also reacted to the call from users who wanted to stay as part of the community but preferred riding outdoors during the summer. The Pausing option allowed users to enjoy the best of both worlds - enjoying outdoor riding while keeping limited access to ROUVY. The Daily Pass and Loyalty programme were other elements which made ROUVY more flexible and better value than ever.
Riding together
There's been a surge in the popularity of community events this indoor season. The 12 Million Community Challenge starting in August was a different kind of challenge and bigger than anything we'd done before. But you came through magnificently with almost 40,000 riders completing 12 million km together over 2 months. It showed that sometimes it's not just about individual achievement but also about the collective effort of the entire community and the joy of cycling.
Possibly inspired by this, the Team Visma | Lease a Bike Group Ride in November had 1,946 riders crossing the finishing line and the BIG ROUVY RACE has instantly become a highly popular event which will obviously have to be repeated in the future.
Our ROUVY community grew stronger than ever in 2024. With more riders joining from all corners of the world, we’ve seen an amazing mix of talent, motivation, and positivity. Thank you for sharing your rides, stories, and feedback - it’s what drives us to keep improving.

🌍 1500+ ways to explore the world
This year, we expanded our library of routes to include even more locations from around the world. 225 new AR routes from 22 countries were added with a total of 6,125 km distance. New routes in Iceland and Madagascar mean you can now visit and explore 48 countries on ROUVY.
Multiple Spotlights let you channel your inner adventurer with packed programmes of events and challenges set on the four corners of the globe and showcasing the diverse riding options. The highlight of these was the Great World Adventure. It's something we'll be doing again so make sure your virtual passports are on hand.
The most popular routes of the year were perennial favourites Lavender fields of Provence and Lago di Garda in Italy.
But the most popular new routes were the Tour de Suisse 2024 | Stage 2 - Kollbrunn, Vincourt to Gruson in France and Lake Como in Italy.

While 2024 was an incredible ride, we’re already gearing up for an even more exciting year ahead. Expect more routes, more events, and more features to make ROUVY the ultimate realistic indoor riding experience.
We'll be starting 2025 with a focus on training and this is a theme we'll be returning to throughout the year to help you better achieve your cycling goals.
