BLOCK 2: WEEK 7

The opening week of Block 2 introduces race-specific preparation with gravel simulations and long endurance rides. You’ll practice sustaining threshold and sweet-spot power while managing surges. The goal is toe help your body adapt to the intensity, variability and demands of real gravel race conditions.

BLOCK 2: WEEK 8

The workouts in Week 8 of the UNBOUND Gravel 50 training plan will develop your efficiency and adaptability through cadence drills and variable-intensity efforts. You’ll improve your ability to respond to sudden surges while maintaining steady power, building the resilience needed to stay strong when the pace changes.

BLOCK 2: WEEK 9

This week you’ll focus on building the endurance and muscular strength needed for long race efforts. Through sustained sweet-spot and threshold intervals, alongside extended endurance rides, you’ll improve your ability to hold strong power over time and prepare your body for the physical demands of the UNBOUND Gravel 50 race.

BLOCK 2: WEEK 10

Week 10 is all about fine-tuning your form with high-intensity intervals and race simulations that bring together all the fitness you’ve built so far. The focus is on maximizing both power and endurance so you arrive at the start line in peak condition.

BLOCK 2: WEEK 11

This week reduces the overall training load to allow your body to recover while keeping sharpness with short, intense efforts and recovery rides. The goal is to maintain fitness, freshen the legs and fine-tune your race readiness.

BLOCK 2: WEEK 12

The 12th and final week keeps training light and focused on recovery, combining easy spins with mental preparation to ensure you arrive fresh and confident. This phase is about fine-tuning your readiness so you can perform your best!
