Marten Van Riel

Marten Van Riel is a professional triathlete from Belgium. He is known for his impressive performances in middle-distance triathlons and has a passion for cycling.

He represented his country at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, where he placed 6th, and at Tokyo 2020 finishing 4th.

In 2019, five top-10 finishes helped the Belgian to 5th place in the overall rankings, with 3rd place at WTS Edmonton being his best of the year, before a brilliant run of podiums saw him finish second overall in the 2021 Series rankings.

In 2022, Marten won the IRONMAN 70.3 Dubai.
