Travel experts recommend: travel insurance (trip cancellation/interruption); medical coverage (verify that it includes coverage for cycling-related activities); evacuation/repatriation (in case of serious injury, this covers the cost of getting you to a medical facility or back home); baggage and personal effects (covers lost, stolen, or damaged personal items, including your bike, gear and accessories); personal liability (protects you if you accidentally injure someone else or damage their property while cycling); and bicycle breakdown coverage (similar to automotive roadside assistance, this can help if your bicycle breaks down and you need repairs or transportation).
