Zottegem, Belgium / Animotion BV presents the "Taste of the Spring Classics" on ROUVY - a series of 5 races on 1:1 real digitized routes for virtual cycling that correspond to 5 major spring European road racing events in Belgium, the Netherlands and France.
The Spring Classics started this weekend with Milan-San Remo. Animotion BV, a sports agency from Belgium, now breaks the geographical borders and presents the opportunity for everyone to become a part of the 100-year-old story of the Spring Classics, in collaboration with ROUVY. The roads of Belgium and France, with authentic cobbled sections and short steep hills, will suit all punchers in the peloton. Here, all can feel the spirit of spring racing competing in Wevelgem, Roubaix, Liége or Flanders. The series of one-day races are being organized with all the gems that every cyclist should definitely ride at least once in a lifetime.
RACES ON THE NEW AUGMENTED COURSES
5 routes have been created ranging between 30 and 40 kms, the ideal distance for online races.

3 time zones will be available - Europe, USA and Asia, for the convenience of all riders around the world. (For the EU zone, the races will start at 19:00 CET). Every avid cyclist or just fitness enthusiast is invited to test the oldest series of 1-day races in the world, just from the comfort of one’s home. In addition, for the convenient format, a Real Spring Classics Challenge will be organized.
Each course will be available online for 2 years on ROUVY for hundreds of thousands of riders. These routes will, of course, also be available to cycling enthusiasts who want to cycle "off-race" at any time they like or who want to set up their own races with their friends or club. All listed courses are available in ROUVY’s augmented HD videos. This way, a 1:1 cycling experience is created with the advantage that one can cycle in the real-life environment and compete with anyone across the globe.
CHALLENGE AND PRIZES
The Challenge starts on March 24 (lasting for 1 month), and require completion of all 5 routes that equally can be completed during the race events.
The following prizes will be raffled among the registrants for the Challenge.

- 5 cycling trips through the Spring Classics in 2023
- Vouchers on sport equipment Also, over the 5 competitions, a ranking will be made with some prizes related to performance criteria. Men and women will ride together, but there will be separate rankings for each category.
BROADCAST
The races will be live-streamed through a number of channels. The esports centre Barvatar in Ghent, Belgium will see participants in the studio, live comments and a different guest co-commentator for each race. This will all be done in front of a live audience. The organization of the races will be done in collaboration between Animotion and We Are Esports Agency.
