The newly rebranded team is looking to support and develop young talents that are ready to fight for the jersey in the team, aiming to turn and advance to the “pro” status. Starting this Saturday, January 29th, and every season further on, the roster selection will partly take place through open online races, giving more riders from around the world an opportunity to participate.
Currently, the SARIS ROUVY Sauerland Team is looking to fill two roster spots. Qualification will happen through an online 4-part race series on ROUVY, where 4 finalists will be chosen. The final selection is to be happening at the in-person team camp in March in Girona (Spain). “I am excited to see the contenders from all corners of the world. What was not possible in the past is becoming a reality today due to the new level of technology. It is interesting how the competing riders standing against the historic pros’ results on the ROUVY leaderboards“ adds Petr Samek, CEO of ROUVY.
“In addition to the expertise of SARIS, ROUVY, and the current Sauerland team management, other jury members will include former pro cyclist and Sports Director of the Deutschland Tour, Fabian Wegmann,” Frank Schreiner, Saris Head of Marketing, Europe.
SARIS ROUVY Sauerland is looking for passionate young riders who will be a good fit for the already formed team, bringing with them equal parts skill and personality. Riders from across the globe are encouraged to apply.

The mission of SARIS and ROUVY is to break down barriers to make cycling more inclusive. The SRS team will have the opportunity to break down their own barriers as they make their journey towards the pro tour. Founded in 2016, the mission of the team is to offer young talented athletes an environment where they can learn and develop skills that will help them reach the pro level.
