IRONSTAR Triathlon cooperates with ROUVY to provide AR cycling courses to athletes from all over the world

Moscow, Russia / June 9, 2020 - IRONSTAR, the biggest Russian triathlon event organizer, teams up with ROUVY to add some unique bike courses to the digital cycling platform.

ROUVY and IRONSTAR believe it to be long-term cooperation. All IRONSTAR bike courses will be added to the digital cycling platform by the end of 2020 and will be available to all users. IRONSTAR plans to run a series of AR races in the winter season of 2020-2021. The first test race will be held on June 14th, 2020.

We invite everyone to take part in the first IRONSTAR digital cycling race on the ROUVY platform. The AR race will take place on the most popular IRONSTAR route — SOCHI. There will be a bilingual (RUS+ENG) live broadcast in Zoom, so everyone can join.

Facts about the IRONSTAR SOCHI route:

  • 100 km length, 600 m elevation gain, 1 lap, smooth ascent, and high-speed downhill
  • Picturesque scenery of the Caucasus Mountains and the Mzymta River valley
  • The route starts on the shore of the Black sea coast in the Olympic district of Sochi (Adler) and goes up to the Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort, then it turns around and goes down to where it started
  • Every year more than 4000 athletes participate in the IRONSTAR SOCHI SPRINT/OLYMPIC/113/226 triathlon and side-events
  • In 2014 SOCHI hosted the XXII Olympic Winter Games
  • In 2015 SOCHI hosted the ETU Triathlon European Cup Final (race organized by IRONSTAR team)
