PEDALITALY, based in Lucca, Tuscany is an exclusive partner of ROUVY in Italy and the first Neverending Cycling model in the world dedicated to Italian cycling tourism. With the first stage race of the season madness being just around the corner, PEDALITALY takes you on a virtual, multi-stage Tour consisting of 5 races in ITALY! These locations will test your tactical and climbing skills.
Racing starts on May 10th with a visit to Canelli, the small town in the province of Asti, a UNESCO heritage site in the heart of the Monferrato Area. During the 1st stage, you will be involved in an exciting exploration of the Langhe area, one of the most beautiful cycling destinations in Italy. The other stages will enable racers to discover more spectacular cycling destinations in Italy such as the Brunello of Montalcino area in Tuscany, Passo Fedaia in the Dolomites, Abruzzo and the Italian Alps.

Canelli, a small town in the province of Asti, is the UNESCO heritage site in the heart of the Monferrato Astigiano. Pedaling along continuous ups and downs on the course, you will discover the Langhe of Piedmont renowned for its wine landscapes. Then you will reach the town of Cessole in the Langhe of Asti and continue south along a plain surrounded by hazelnut trees, typical of this region. The arrival point is in Castino, the main town of the Cuneo province, famous for its Piedmont Hazelnut.

The departure is positioned in the center of Alfedena, a town in the province of Aquila. The route continues north-west in the direction of Barrea, a tourist village from where you can enjoy the views of the celestial waters of the Barrea lake. All along admiring the peaks of the central Abruzzo Apennines, you will reach Villetta Barrea, from where you will then take the turning that opens the doors onto the Abruzzo National Park. Continuing on, you will reach the finish line at the top of the Godi Pass, at an altitude of 1630 meters above sea level.

The stage starts from the town of Torrenieri, moving along the historic Via Francigena to the village of Buonconvento. The road is surrounded by Crete Senesi, an area of rolling hills with oak and cypress trees. Once past the town of Buonconvento, you will face a stretch of paved road that passes through the village of Bibbiano before returning back to its famous gravel roads. The route continues on until you reach the finish line positioned in the town of Montalcino, a town of Etruscan origin, famous all over the world for its Brunello vineyards.

Starting from the shore of the lake of Alleghe, the ride takes you along the Cordevole river until Caprile before turning west. Here you will enter the Dolomites territory completely surrounded by the marvellous mountain landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue along the valley of the river Pettorina to reach Sottoguda, a small village that in 2016 was recognized as among the most beautiful villages in Italy. From here begins the challenging but breathtaking ascent towards the Fedaia Pass at an altitude of 2057 meters from where you can admire the Marmolada and Fedaia Lake.

Varallo, a city of art and the tourist capital of Valsesia, also known for the Sacro Monte UNESCO heritage site, is the starting point of the last stage. Leaving the town, you will cycle up the river Sesia, from where the valley takes its name. The long uphill slope will accompany you until Scopello, from where the 10km climb starts that will lead you to the Alpe di Mera, a well-known tourist resort in the area, where the day’s arrival point is located.
