The Pedalitaly PARMA Virtual Race visits the cultural heart of Emilia-Romagna

Parma, Italy / June 17, 2021 The PedalItaly Parma Virtual Race on ROUVY is set for June 22nd, free and open for everyone. Cycling enthusiasts from all over the world are invited to discover the heart of the Parma Apennines from home. The 1:1 augmented course represents immersive racing over rolling hills of the Parma vicinity in a truly beautiful and natural environment.

DISCOVERING PARMA APENNINES

The race cruises through the famous food valley of Italy, starting from the Nature Park of Boschi di Carrega. It crosses the Nature Park in its entirety, pedaling across its thick vegetation composed mainly of beech and chestnut trees. Then the course continues through the urban section of the municipalities of Sala Baganza and Felino before returning to the rural landscape; the road has continuous ups and downs from where riders can admire the picturesque hills, the local crops and the magnificent Castle of Torrechiara. The race also reaches the town of Langhirano before facing the last climb that leads to the Pieve dell’Assunzione di Maria Vergine in the hamlet of Castrignano.

Paul Groves and Veronica Bellandi Bulgari are the official commentators and are sure to make this amazing virtual event more interesting. Live streaming of the commentary will start at 18:35 CEST, on the 22nd of June, on the Facebook page of PEDALITALY. This live broadcast is set to entertain with its rich content and interviews, not only those who participate in the virtual race but also the public that follows the event.
