The Companion App 2.0 integrates with a variety of devices to bring together your indoor rides, outdoor training and other activities into one complete view of your training and progress. Use compatible Garmin devices like the Fenix® 8, Forerunner® 970, and Edge® 1050 cycling computer to track additional activities like running, swimming, hiking and strength training.

Within the ROUVY Companion App 2.0, users can now benefit from a broad view of their training load tracking, recovery insights, readiness scoring, consistency monitoring, and long-term progression tracking. Within the Companion App, a new suite of training plans can also be created which combine both outdoor and indoor workouts for a more comprehensive approach to training, helping riders work towards their goals more efficiently. You can take your ROUVY workouts outdoors with compatible devices such as a Garmin Edge® cycling computer or compatible Garmin smartwatch.
Marek-Martin Matyska, VP of Product at ROUVY commented on the evolution of the ROUVY Companion App: “It’s no secret that ROUVY users often revert to training outdoors during the year when the weather conditions are more favourable, whilst also cross-training across multiple sports and activities. We wanted to provide our users with a consistent training guide, a home for all of their training data in one place, with insights into how they can better understand the overall training effect and current fitness state.>
“Our ultimate goal is for ROUVY to become an essential, all-year-round supportive companion that helps our riders reach their goals, and the Companion App 2.0 is the foundational step toward that vision. It isn’t designed to replace other apps that collate training in one place, but to provide ROUVY users with a simple home for their activity data with a direct feedback loop on physiological state, performance and training decisions.”>
Within the ROUVY Companion App 2.0, users can also remotely control ROUVY, change virtual gears when using virtual shifting, view data screens on their phone, and see their power and overall training score trends. Key functionality from the previous Companion App also remains, including the ability to explore the extensive catalogue of routes and workouts on ROUVY on the go before adding chosen activities into favourites or ride later lists.
The ROUVY Companion App 2.0 is now live for ROUVY users to experience. Users without an active ROUVY subscription can still benefit from the overall activity tracking in the ROUVY Companion App 2.0, but a subscription is required to ride the training plans generated according to your performance and fitness levels.
