Digital Races - Rules & Regulations

1. Basic rules & Regulations
1.1. Responsibilities
1.1.1. It is the responsibility of each rider to review and understand these rules and regulations before participating in any ROUVY Digital race event.
1.1.2. By participating in any ROUVY Digital race event, riders agree to the rules and regulations in this document.
1.1.3. Any questions about the rules and regulations should be directed to the ROUVY team at digitalrace@rouvy.com prior to the start of the event.
1.1.4. Online registration is closing 1 hour before the start of the race.
1.2. Evaluation of Results
1.2.1. The race and whole series have a men's and women's category.
1.2.2. ROUVY will thoroughly and properly evaluate the results and values of each racer.
1.2.3. The ROUVY commission reserves the right to not include suspicious, incorrect or incomplete data to the results. Riders can appeal decisions by sending their case for appeal to ROUVY at digitalrace@rouvy.com within 24 hours after the decision was made.
1.2.4. In the final ranking, the best 3 results are evaluated.
1.2.5. The winner is the racer with the lowest total ranking in absolute by the gender.
1.2.6. Only racers with 3 or more results will be ranked in the overall ranking.
1.2.7. In the case of a draw:
a) The first one in the last race of the series (#5) is a winner.
b) More better ranking from the races
c) More completed races
1.3. Changes
1.3.1. The ROUVY reserves the right to modify or supplement these rules at any time. The latest version of the ROUVY Digital race rules can be found at http://rouvy.com/en/events/rules.
2. Code of Conduct
2.1. It is not allowed to spread any negative or derogatory comments in association with any content of ROUVY Digital race, that could be considered hateful, threatening, discriminatory, pornographic, meant to bully or harass any user.
2.2. No negative messages against another person, team or third party. By this, is meant any commentary that can be interpreted as „trolling“, harasment or bullying.
2.3. We ask you to be polite, helpful and friendly.
2.4. Other policies
2.4.1. ROUVY‘s Terms of services.
2.4.2. The racer who is involved in any form of unacceptable behavior can be permanently removed from ROUVY Digital Races.
3. Eligibility
- 3.1. These rules must be followed for participation in any ROUVY Digital Race.
- 3.2. The racer must provide us with a photo proving his/her true weight which must be provided no later than 8 hours before the start of the race/series.
- 3.3. The photo must include the rider visibly standing on the scale displaying the current weight. This weight must be used in the ROUVY app.
4. Data and Connection
- 4.1. Each racer is obliged to save and retain all activities and files generated by ROUVY, including log files for at least 14 days after the race.
- 4.2. After the race is over, the user has to end the race by clicking/tapping the relevant buttons within the ROUVY app. This ensures that the activity can be stored and visible (both publicly and privately).
- 4.3. Each racer has to be connected to the internet during the race. We recommend a connection speed of at least 20Mbps.
- 4.4. The racer is not allowed to disconnect themselves consciously from the ROUVY servers during the race in order to avoid modification of race results.
5. Account and the Trainer
5.1. In order to participate in ROUVY Digital races, it is neccessary to use the Smart trainer. (we recommend using the Direct drive)
5.2. It Is highly recommended that racers connect to a heart rate monitor too. (in the case of AppleTV where the number of sensors is limited, you can record your heart rate through another app or device.)
5.3. The racer has to calibrate the trainer right before the race starts. For this purpose, use the official manufacturer app.
5.4. The racer has to set his real and actual weight.
5.5. Person Account
5.5.1. The racer have to have own ROUVY account registered in his/her own name.
5.5.2. Racer‘s account can‘t be shared with the others during the Digital race series.
5.5.3. The racer is not allowed to use the names of other people, vulgar or otherwise inappropriate words.
5.6. If any of the rules are not observed, ROUVY reserves the right to disqualify a competitor.
6. Application and Equipment
6.1. It is necessary to use the latest firmware version of the ROUVY/ROUVY AR app.
6.2. The racer can‘t run any other app during the ROUVY Digital race, that could control the trainer‘s resistance or record the values of his trainer.
6.3. We recommend checking the trainer‘s firmware version before the race via the official manufacturer application. Keep your trainer up to date.
7. Cheating and Fair Play
7.1. It is not allowed to use any electronic or mechanical device that could provide advantage in the race.
7.1.1. The racer can‘t use any software modification, bot or sensor that could adjust the final values in his/her advantage.
7.1.2. Subsequent manipulation of saved activity or generated files is not allowed and can be the reason for disqualification.
7.2. ROUVY reserves the right to decide on the correctness of data in the event of false or by any method, disturbed data.
7.3. We ask every racer for a Fair Play and setting up real and true values.
