For triathletes, March is the month of training camps and with Triathlon Training Camp, ROUVY is providing an effective and convenient way for triathletes around the world to improve their performance levels and get ready for the outdoor season. The campaign runs from March 1-19th. There will be workouts, challenges, prizes to be won, a Group Ride led by Frederic Funk through the scenery of Challenge Wales and ends with a climactic race on the Challenge Geraardsbergen route in Belgium on March 19. Registration is free of charge and ROUVY provides a 14-day free trial for newcomers as well as 30 days free membership to TrainingPeaks for everyone who signs up for the event.
The campaign is a follow-up to ROUVY's Triathlon Fall Fest which took place last September and was the first ever virtual indoor cycling event specifically designed for triathletes. Triathletes make up an important proportion of ROUVY's online community of over one million registered athletes on the platform. With the need for a regular training programme throughout the year, ROUVY's app allows triathletes to train consistently and practice on many Challenge Family routes around the world such as Challenge Wanaka and Challenge Taiwan.
German triathlete Frederic Funk is the official face of the campaign. Frederic is a multiple national champion and winner of several Ironman 70.3 and Challenge Family races, and recently entered the top 10 of the PTO world rankings.
Frederic Funk comments on the campaign:
"When I'm training and the weather is bad or it's dark outside, I always use my indoor trainer and the ROUVY app. Triathlon Training Camp is a great way to get in shape for the upcoming season. The timing is perfect and I'm very excited to be part of it."
ROUVY is partnering with the global triathlon series, Challenge Family, for the training camp and Challenge Family CEO, Jort Vlam, said he is looking forward to it.
“Challenge Family is delighted to be working with ROUVY on the Triathlon Training Camp as part of our ongoing collaboration. It’s a great way to support athletes in preparation for the upcoming season and will also be a lot of fun, riding some iconic courses with friends and pros alike. Plus it fits perfectly with Challenge Family’s commitment to ‘all about the athlete’.”
ROUVY's app combines sport and technology to provide an immersive, interactive experience for cyclists of all levels. With over 10,000 real-world routes, filmed on video around the world and enhanced with AR, riders can explore the world or train on famous routes for upcoming events from their home. This is why the platform has become a top choice for both world-class pros and casual hobby riders. ROUVY is committed to promoting health and fitness and providing a supportive, inclusive community for all of its users.
