AKAGIYAMA HILL CLIMB RACE Hosts A 2nd Virtual Edition On ROUVY On Oct 9th

Maebashi City, Japan / Oct 6th 2021 - Akagiyama Hill Climb Race hosts its second open virtual edition on ROUVY, on October 9th, with the pro riders, Takahiro Koyama and Kazuki Nagatomi, from Team Griffin. Mountain Akagiyama provides the best cycling during a beautiful autumn season in October and November.

Riders from all over the world are welcome to cruise or race the 20km to the top of the Akagi mountain, from their homes. The virtual rebranded route built with geo-synced video footage, also allowing for ROUVY’s AR multi-rider mode, is available for pre-race reconnaissance.

Sam Sakai, the Race Advisor says, “We are excited to deliver the 2nd virtual edition of the race since Covid hit Japan. We are happy to be hosting a real race replica online and the platform gives a perfect reproduction of our real race. If you want to bring the real feel to all world climbers, there is no better platform choice”.

This event, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the real race, is free-to-enter with no limitations to take part in. Drafting is “ON”. Athletes of all levels are welcome to explore this Japanese race, enjoy the 1:1 virtual race course this weekend and train for the real race in the post-Covid future.
