Ride Tour de TOHOKU and visit the breathtaking places
Tour de TOHOKU is a bicycle event held by Yahoo Japan Corporation, a leading Internet company in Japan, and Kahoku Shimpo Publishing Co. since 2013 for the purpose of supporting the restoration efforts and bequeathing the memories of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Ten years after the disaster, we bring you three courses that will allow you to enjoy the beautiful sceneries of Tohoku, which is in the process of recovering from the devastation.
ROUTES DESCRIPTION
Sendai to Okumatsushima
You will start from Sendai City and finish in Oku-Matsushima known as one of the three most scenic spots in Japan.
Shinomaki to Minamisanriku
You will cycle through Ishinomaki City, Onagawa Town, and Minamisanriku Town. You can see the beautiful sea of Tohoku on the right along with the forests.
Minamisanriku to Kesennuma
You will cycle from Minamisanriku Town to Kesennuma City, famous for its fishing harbor and the boats will welcome you in the finish.
TASKS & RULES
Ride and finish the selected routes in a "Time Trial" or Race.
