GFNY Challenge | HARD
Go around the great GFNY courses from different locations. Try your best. The 150km / 93 miles long distance and 2636 m / 8 648 ft ascend are waiting for you. You earn 800 coins and a special GFNY virtual jersey kit for your ROUVY avatar once completed the challenge in Time Trial or Race mode.
GFNY is a personal endurance challenge where you compete against others, the clock, and yourself. GFNY NYC serves as the GFNY World Championship for the GFNY World Series of races.
GFNY World events provide you with that same challenge in locations around the world. Additionally, you get the chance to qualify for a front corral start at the GFNY World Championship in NYC.
All GFNY events provide the following for you to BE A PRO FOR A DAY:
- Mass start
- Individual chip timing from start to finish with awards for all categories
- Closed roads or police-moderated traffic that ensures you don't have to stop during the race
GFNY Cozumel 30km
Famous all over the world for its coral reefs are home to 100 species of fish, sea sponges, coral, and sea turtles. The island now forms part of the Cozumel National Park. Cozumel has been the host of top endurance events for many years and has now become one of the favorite venues for amateurs and professionals alike. Cozumel is the seasonal training home for many professional athletes. The route is fast and flat, it will take you on a coastal ride with palm trees and a stormy sea.
GFNY New York City 20km
GFNY World Championship NYC is the world’s most international cycling race, with a peloton traveling to NYC from over 90 countries to take on the challenging 100-mile race course. The virtual route is shortened to 20 km only, with an ascended elevation of 500 meters. The route starts right at the bank of the Hudson river, near a village called Tomkins Cove, and will take you through a beautiful green forest countryside right in the north of New York City.
GFNY Republica Dominicana
Punta Cana is a region known for its 32 km of beaches and crystal-clear waters. The moment you cross under the virtual arch, you will have lived the experience of being a PRO FOR A DAY, with the satisfaction of having fought like a true champion through a challenging route, but in one of the most beautiful and popular tourist places on the planet. The route that is 30 km long with 400m of ascended elevation will take you through the beautiful and green environment of the Dominican Republic.
GFNY Manta 30km
Manta is a city considered "The Gateway of the Pacific", characterized by providing the best experience of nature, beaches, adventure sports, and nightlife. Its real estate and commercial development have managed to place Manta among one of the most developed cities in Ecuador. The short course approximately 30 km, is as challenging as the long distance, but with less climbing, with an altimetry of 711m.
GFNY Alpes Vaujany - Col de la Croix de Fer
GFNY Alpes Vaujany is hosted in the picturesque French Alps village of Vaujany. Enjoy scenic cycling on the most famous climbs in the world. The virtual ride has been shortened to 18 km but there is still a lot to ascend. The route will take you through the breathtaking scenery of the French Alps with a nice ride along the shore of the Lac de Grand Maison lake but you will still have to climb almost 1000 metres of elevation.
