In 2017 a friend of mine made me ride her bike in a charity bike ride. 40 miles through the Las Vegas desert in the summer. I thought I might die, but I finished and then I decided to buy a bike. A couple years later I signed up for my first Ironman 70.3. During the race I thought to myself this was the dumbest thing I ever did and swore it was my last. Then I qualified for the World Championship and decided to keep going. I consider myself more of a cyclist who dabbles in triathlons.
