A fast flat route with one short climb midway takes you through beautiful and picturesque rural and semi-urban landscapes for 26km of varied scenery through Elst, a town in the municipality of Overbetuwe in the Dutch province of Gelderland in central Netherlands and 12m above sea level.
Stage four takes you to the province of Álava, along the rolling green hilly segment through the town of Antoñana in the Basque Country, in northern Spain that weaves through the lumpy countryside with lush green rolling hills and forests on this 27km route. There are two main climbs here: one at 4km and the last at 23km. The first 4km provides a good warmup before the climb, and the rest of the ride is fast.
The Sierra Nevada, meaning snowy mountain, is a mountain range in Andalusia, southern Spain, east of Granada. This magnificent area includes the Unesco Biosphere Reserve and is a massif of sixteen peaks in a majestic landscape of deep valleys, lakes and ridges. We ride the last 15km of the long climb from after Puerto de Hazallanas to the summit at Hoya De La Mora at a 5% average gradient and some places to recover a bit near the middle of the climb.
We begin a shark-tooth hilly terrain in Bodonal de la Sierra in Badajoz on the southwest of Spain and ride southwards to Cabeza la Vaca over a 24km course with 484m of climbing but with plenty of places to recover after each short climb. The scenery develops throughout the ride into a backdrop of evergreen oaks, olive trees, pine trees and leafy scrublands. This route will be perfect for your ride if you enjoy climbing intervals.
